Steel City Choristers is looking for a new Director of Music

Freelance fees totalling around £16,000 per annum

The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and inspiring musician to serve as our next Director of Music from September 2026.

Your expertise in choir training and your love of traditional cathedral music will be key to further developing the quality of the musical education we deliver to our Choristers and the standard to which we sing.

Your vision, passion and expertise will help lead Steel City Choristers into the next chapter of its exciting journey, ensuring the choir continues to attract and retain both children and adult singers, and building the charity’s reputation locally and nationally as a credible and innovative organisation.
